The
story thus far:
I started shooting pics as a hobby in the mid eighties, at
Kyalami and Zwartkops, while studying architectural
technology at Wits Technikon. I first published pics of
the Speedway Internationals at Corobrik in the late
eighties in Bike SA.
After becoming a member of the SAGMJ in 1990, I slowly made inroads with work covering
national championship racing, notably in Wiel Magazine,
and in 1994 went into |
|
motorsport
photography full time
with various clients, on a freelance basis. I won the SAGMJ motor sport photographer of the year award in 96
and 98.
I've been a long time fan of F1 photographers Bernard Asset,
Pascal Rondeau, Paul Henry Cahier, Keith Sutton, Martin
Elford, Rainer Schlegelmilch, Steven Tee, Charles Coates
and Darren Heath, amongst others and in motor cycle
racing, Paul Borsham, Patrick Gosling and David Goldman.
Their work is a never ending source of inspiration. We
are fortunate to bear witness to such artistry.
